The(He)artfor(He)artprogram

The(He)artfor(He)artprogram is a non-profit organization, based  in Nice and created and chaired by Francisca Viudes, which welcomes art collectors, art critics, curators and artists of national and international standing to participate in vibrant encounters, exchanges and residencies.

`We want the South of France, home of many artisys, who have marked the history of art, to revive this tradition. Among these artists, Monet, Renoir, Matisse, Picasso, Niki de Saint-Phalle, Arman, Cesar, Yves Klein were in love with our beautiful territory`

The(He)artfor(He)artprogram is inspired by the rich artistic heritage of the French and Italian Riviera. By subscribing to this lineage and by pursuing the sense of continuity, the artist residency offers an inspiring program and presents to its guests a creative experience.

This cultural association organizes and participates in numerous `off-site`events, such as `Les visiteurs du Soir`, the OVNI festival, Manifesta 13 as well as in several national and international participations in support of the program`s artists.

The conceptors, artists and co-curators of the project would like to thank Francisca Viudes for all her efforts and energy to make this project happen.

LOCATIONS:

Espace Jouenne, Marseille``

This art gallery was born from the desire to create a place for artistic and human exchanges. The passion for art of the painter Michel Jouenne and the will of his family made it possible to offer after 4 years of preparation this exhibition space to artists, audiences, collectors … A fabulous project animated by the deep desire for share knowledge, ideas, experiences, in a cooperative spirit, but also by the desire to promote art and create a dynamic around meetings and exhibitions. This one-of-a-kind place offers everyone an escape into the world of each artist. The dream dominates, the spirit escapes. Bring art to life and discover it by offering a place of artistic emulation with events that stand out for their aesthetics, quality and the messages they convey.

The Jouenne family generously opened its doors to host the first part of the project INFINITE VILLAGE, which was part of the Manifesta 13/Marseille/Parralleles du Sud.

The Open Circles were - thanks to Loic Fauchille and his team - generously hosted in the garden of neighbouring Hotel Montgrand.

Hotel Windsor, Nice

Under the direction of Odile Redolfi-Payen, and hosted by the Hotel Windsor, Objectif Video Nice Festival (OVNI) is at the confluence of the artistic and hotel worlds.

Created in Nice in 2015, as an priginal and innovative platform dedicated to the promotion of video art, the OVNI festival brings together a number of cultural actors from the City of Nice, to create an annual event (End of November), giving visibility to emerging video artist, while allowing the public to rediscover established video artists. The work of these artists is thus highlighted by a journey through the city that includes museums, cultural spaces and other locations.

At the same time a few hotels in Nice are transformed into temporary platforms to host these events, in which diverse French and international institutions unveil a program chosen specifically for the location. Besides organizing the festival, the organization of OVNI are also actively curating part of the program.

In addition to the OVNI festival and the `OVNI in the city`- program, the hotel Windsor also organizes and hosts the video and contemporary art fair `Camera Camera`, presented a new format of presentation, where video artist and galleries are invited to inhabit the hotel rooms or specially realized in-situ installations.

As conceptors, artists and curators we would like to extend our gratitude to Odile Redolfi to embrace the project INFINITE VILLAGE.

 LE 109

Responding to a real need to acquire a research and creation tool, this change began with the installation in part of the site of a collective of artists - La Station, an association defending contemporary art through production and exhibition.

At the same time, the city has set up a reflection mission called Chantier Sang Neuf, in order to extend this process of change to the entire site and to all artistic expressions; reflection materialized by the creation of the Grande Halle (a space of 2000 m2), the Frigo 16, the Round Table; all these spaces can accommodate various programs around current music, exhibitions, conferences / debates.

This experimental form of the project took place until 2015 through various production actions, residences and temporary events.

Today, after significant work to transform its premises, 109 is starting a new life, welcoming other major players in Nice's cultural life. The project is entering a second phase of consolidating its objectives by setting up 29 municipal plastic surgeon workshops; the Town Planning and Architecture Forum; de l'Entre-Pont, a federation of around 40 performing arts associations; from the Antipodes dance company; of Botox (s), a contemporary art network in the Alps and Riviera; of the SACA, Syndicate of Architects of the Côte d´Azur.

With the energy produced by its multiple occurrences, 109 tends to consolidate its role as an authentic breeding ground for creation.

Le 109 was the second location in Nice to host the project INFINITE VILLAGE., where the large out door `social sculpture `INFINITE VILLAHE/When `I `becomes `US`` by artists Cora von Zezschwitz & Tilman was installed. We would like to thank the Le 109 – pole de cultures contemporain - , and the city of Nice for the support of the project.
