How can we eat well and respectfully facing water shortages caused by climate change and the way we farm? How can we better respect the soil, groundwater and flora and fauna in agriculture? This is a key subject in the southern region of France, which is the 2nd largest agricultural producer in France. How to achieve healthier agriculture for people in the agricultural sector and for consumers? How to guarantee diverse food biodiversity and a local and better shared production? What kind of artists’ projects create new links full of symbolism and poetry? Food is both our first need and at the same time pleasure, culture and ancestral ritual of sharing. We invite actors from Marseille who, with their projects, create meaningful openings for the future: urban farms, permaculture training, civic associations, shared gardens, producers, chefs and artists.

What kind of utopias can we imagine in Marseille today together with artists and various civic and artistic initiatives? What can we learn from historical and artistic communities like MONTE VERITA in Switzerland, from the school and artist community of “Black Mountain College” in North Carolina or from the community of “Drop city” in southern Colorado? What are the potentials in the southern region in France? What are the initiatives and realities in Marseille? For the past seven years, the proejts by "Yes we camp" or "Hôtel du Nord" have aspired a new social, ecological and economic cohesion. THE CAMP in Aix en Provence has created "The Hive" an interdisciplinary and international residency to concretely imagine projects and technologies of tomorrow. And what role can art schools play? What other pedagogies to imagine to explore living and learning together? What utopias do we dream of and how can we achieve them together?

What does emergency architecture have in common with ecoarchitecture? Today, engaged architects all over the world are trying to link emergency architecture with ecology. We look at several examples around the world for inspiration: "Healthy Homes in Tropical Zones".
After the tragic collapse of a building on rue Aubagne in 2018, the emergency finally became visible in Marseille. In addition, migrating populations live there in squats in unimaginable conditions. The volunteers of “Architects Without Borders” work there with the students of Cyrille Hanappe “Actes et Cités” and share their experience. In this sense, “Yes we camp” has been carrying out projects for years to create better social cohesion. And finally we ask how the straw construction experimented at the Lycée des Calanques could be a quick, inexpensive and ecological solution at the same time? Finally the artist Olivier Nattes talks about his projects as an artist and ecodesigner like the restosolaire in Marseille.

What is the state of freshwater in the southern region of France today and in the next 30 years? The rivers Durance and Verdon mainly supply the Marseille region, yet climate change is exacerbating droughts - how can we create a future where water becomes the vector for better living together? How could we understand and treat this precious and essential resource differently? How can we better use it by understanding the entire ecosystem so that water again becomes the bridge between all inhabitants and living entities? For this round table, scientists draw a picture of the situation in the face of climate change. The SOS Durance association exposes the realities on the ground and their actions. Professionals in the art scene reveal how artists create vectors to raise public awareness and even participate in the innovation of solutions and techniques that accompany changes in behavior. In this way, the public discovers how artists commit to the preservation of water and the biosphere, by stimulating emotions.
